Google TV Announced

In their bid for total world domination Google announced a lot of new exciting future developments this week at their annual conference.

The big news was Google TV which will merge television with the internet. Hardware like TV sets and set top boxes are already under development. You can see a demo video of the system here:

One of the interesting things not mentioned in this clip is the fact that all the Apps you buy for your android smart phone will also be usable on your TV set. This will also be tied into Google’s web browser “Chrome”.

That means that apps you buy will be usable on your phone, TV and computer!

A second announcement was the new OS Android 2.2 (codenamed Froyo).

This system update for smart phones will offer a huge speed increase as well as having Adobe Flash player built in.

HTC have also said if your phone was produced in 2010 you will most likely get the 2.2 update for your phone (in the past new systems only come with new phones).
